AWS says Kimi K3 from Moonshot AI is generally available on Amazon Bedrock for coding and knowledge work.
Kimi K3 is Moonshot AI's model that AWS made generally available on Amazon Bedrock on September 18, 2026. AWS calls it a new option for coding and knowledge work, inside the same open weight portfolio and the same security and governance customers already use on Bedrock.
According to Moonshot AI, as AWS quotes the company, Kimi K3 is its most capable model and the first open model to reach 2.8 trillion parameters. It combines native vision with a 1-million-token context window, and Moonshot AI reports an approximate 2.5x improvement in scaling efficiency over Kimi K2. On Amazon Bedrock it is the first open weight model to support explicit prompt caching, which AWS says helps reduce latency and input costs when context is reused across calls. AWS says it is available through cross-Region inference in every Region where Amazon Bedrock is available.
