Use Groq with Cline and OpenCode
Cline’s /provider-config/groq URL redirects to the combined providers page, anchor groq. OpenCode has a Groq section on its providers page. Neither section prints a base URL or a model-id format.
Cline
Cline’s Groq section says Groq is a low-latency inference provider for supported model families, links groq.com, and lists three steps: sign in to Groq Console, create an API key, and in Cline select Groq and paste the key.
OpenCode
- Open the Groq console, click Create API Key, and copy the key. OpenCode links https://console.groq.com/.
- Run /connect and search for Groq.
- Enter the API key.
- Run /models and select a model.
Limits the client docs do not restate
Free Plan Limits and Developer Plan Limits are on Groq’s rate-limits page, not in the Cline or OpenCode sections. The free-tier note on this site copies both tables and the conflicting sentence above them. Listed token prices for openai/gpt-oss-120b and openai/gpt-oss-20b are on Groq’s models page, in the production-models table.
